BE COURAGEOUS

BE COURAGEOUS

Read Joshua 1:1-9

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:9 (KJV)

It was a few weeks before the COVID outbreak in 2019. I sought the Lord in prayer and meditation. Lord, what would you have me do? How can I help bring others to come to know you more? What gifts or talents can I use in your service? I prayed, “Lord, use me in your service, “ and ended with my Mantra,  “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8 NKJV)

In silent reflection, God pointed me to my entrepreneurial venture, building websites for small businesses, at that moment. He showed me how, through creating a website, I could reach many who are searching for the truth and aid in His cause. Henceforth, I had a series of revelations about what I was supposed to do.

I then started to question the answer to my prayer. COVID-19 hit the world, and I became discouraged and doubtful. I doubted my abilities, pondering how I would not be able to lead such a ministry or have anyone take me seriously. I made the first attempt towards that vision, and God kept revealing in snippets daily that I was not alone and He was with me.

Here I was three years after with the same prayer and still getting the same answer. I need not rely on my strength or abilities but trust God’s leading. As you read this devotional on the said ministry platform, I encourage you to follow God’s calling for your life. Allow Him to lead you. Have no fear, and be strong and courageous. If you avail yourself to him, He will use you as He did with Joshua.
